Around the Barangay: $2500 MATCHING PLEDGE

Dear Bindlestiff family, friends, and supporters,

We extend to you a heartfelt wish for good health and good spirits. As we shelter in place to fight COVID-19, Bindlestiff strives to continue our mission of bold artistic expression and community engagement...albeit at a distance.

With that said, we are reaching out to encourage you to support our artists and our SOMA community.

We are pleased to offer online workshops from our talented pool of artists to help us all get through this difficult time. Millions across the nation face financial hardships, including artists in our community. Many have been furloughed, laid-off, and/or unable to earn money from performing. In response, Bindlestiff will devote 100%* of the registration fees and donations raised through our online campaign to the facilitators and other artists in our community.

Please help us raise money for the SOMA Community!

Bindlestiff has pledged $2500 to various organizations and campaigns in SOMA to help vulnerable populations cope during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Special thanks to MOHCD and the Community Action Grant of the SOMA Community Collaborative for allowing us to reallocate $2500 towards COVID-19 relief. The original grantee, Ramon Abad, and his cast and crew graciously offered to divert their grant money for the Youth Puppetry Workshop to help our community fight the coronavirus. Thanks to everyone in the community for all the work you are doing to help keep us safe! Kapwa is stronger than COVID!
