*All donations will benefit the development of the book, KATATAGAN : Endurance Filipino American Theater Artists in the Bay Area

Synopsis:
Post 9/11 in a conglomerate’s secret room, a paper shredder, Ona, lures her brother Ian, to visit -- the “roots” -- the Philippines. Familia Wizard of Oz icons double their roles and affect Ona’s escape from her own cage. The play parodies the chaotic moment in history of falling buildings and dwindling confidence in leadership where opportunists cover their tracks and ‘munchkins’ demonstrate resilience.

Bindlestiff has been consulting with Kultivate Labs about stage and performance needs at Kapwa Gardens - an outdoor community space in SOMA which is currently being built.

We need volunteers to help the vision become a reality. Volunteer your time Friday-Sunday.

Born out of shelter in place, Our Digital Stories is an ensemble of artists creating and embracing hybrid theatre/film stories.

"This format of play provided us an opportunity to create stories that felt surprisingly intimate in a way that feels entirely real and entirely of the moment."

Check out their current volumes 1,2 and 3, featuring artists Jeffrey Lo, Conrad Panganiban, Giovanni Ortega, Carina Lastimosa,Tasi Alabastro, Marissa Martinez, and Jowy-Jhan Curameng.

Check out artists Rinabeth Apostol and Leigh Rondon-Davis in a Bay Area ensemble performing American Slam poet Beau Sia's "Courage Rising". Directed by Jeffrey Lo and presented by Theatre Works of Silicon Valley.
