One area we could use your support: Food & Drink!
We have an amazing line-up of chefs and purveyors offering an incredible menu.
From our culinary curator, Thuy Tran, co-founder of the The Rooted Recipes Project, “I wanted to highlight both established and emerging Bay Area AAPI chefs and food purveyors. Too often we’re boxed into other people’s ideas of what 'Asian/American' food should be. These chefs and producers are expanding and challenging those views through their food. Whether it’s transforming vegan cuisine, disrupting food trends or defying conventional palates, these chefs are influenced in part by the taste memories of their childhood and also, their experience as citizens of a world that has porous borders and boundaries. People will always be migrating and moving, just as the ideas they carry. We need to make room for this type of innovation and evolution. I can’t wait for everyone at Bindlestiff Gala to interact with these chefs and their unparalleled flavors.”

If you can't join us for the gala, you can still DONATE! Our donation section is still live on our event page.
And in recognition of our important role in the community, TODCO will match up to $8,000 in donations from now through the end of the gala!
“Bindlestiff Studio serves more than just artists," says John Elberling, Executive Director of Tenants and Owners Development Corporation (TODCO). Through their programs and community partnerships, they serve youth, seniors, residents, and our much needed SOMA social services. That’s why TODCO has put forward an $8,000 matching donation in celebration of Bindlestiff’s 30th anniversary to encourage YOU to support this anchor institution in SOMA.”
Please bring your checkbook to Welcome Home, or Venmo us @Bindle-Stiff, where your donation goes twice as far thanks to our friends at TODCO, who have been supporting working class people in SOMA for over 45 years. Thank you, TODCO!
What might your donation cover?
- $45 = 3 comped tickets for Students/Seniors
- $100 = photocopying scripts for a typical production
- $150 = lunch for participants in the Restorative Theater Arts for Seniors Program
- $800 = one facilitator for our Stories High Writing, Acting, or Directing workshop
- $1,000 = LED stage lighting package
Your donations are tax-deductible, and enable us to keep the doors open and the lights on!
Thanks again for your support!
