SOMCAN’s Youth and Families Laptop Fundraiser Project

Screen Shot 2020-11-22 at 9.35.46 PM.png

This pandemic has affected us in many ways and the disparities in technology access have left many of us behind. SOMCAN is working with RRR Computer Organization to promote digital inclusion by refurbishing laptops and distributing them to low-income youth and families in the Bay Area. Please join us to reach our goal to provide the technology to support our youth in distance virtual learning and keep families connected!

How to donate:

  1. Sliding scale monetary donations accepted via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/donate/686642005581551/

  2. SOMCAN’s Youth Organizing Home and Neighborhood Action program (YOHANA), created a digital art banner to represent the youth, workers and families with the issues they face in the city and to inspire others to FIGHT FOR EQUITY. You can listen to Yohana’s lead artists in their podcast discussing their process to create this banner, and 100% of all merch sales will be contributed to the Youth & Families Laptop Fundraiser: www.somcan.org/products
