Bring your kids to Bindlestiff coz "Pickles!" is back, baby!

Delayed since 2020 due to recurring setbacks of water leaks, flooding & that mean ol' COVID, our scrappy, lil’ show is finally ready to blast off!

Presented by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APPIC) as part of the 25th annual United States of Asian America Festival (USAAF), "Pickles!" is Bindlestiff’s first show designed specifically for kids 5 years & up....and it will be performed entirely with puppets, too!

Filipino American puppeteer Ramon Abad has commissioned three young kids to write original stories that a cast of Bindlestiff artists and puppeteers will bring to life! The playwrights are the children of past OG Bindlestiff artists Nina and Dino Ignacio, Bernie Rosquites and Eunice Nuval. Their kids have shown a natural talent for storytelling!

This show hopes to engage Bay Area children to the diverse culture and history that Bindlestiff offers and of encouraging a new generation of future theater artists…which seeks to advance the central theme of USAAF 2022’s “Generation of Power”.
