Queer as Fuck and Bindlestiff Studio presents
Our Villain Era Program
Producers Notes
Thank you so much for supporting Queer as Fuck! Since 2016 we have dedicated ourselves to providing a platform for Queer and Trans folks of color to come together and share in the power of community theater. This is our 5th full production and we are so thankful to all of the creatives that poured their hearts out to present to you all “Our Villain Era”.
This show first began its journey to the stage with a winter writing retreat where we as a collective decided it’s time to embrace the villain in us all. Through a series of workshops, ideas turned into scripts, which were then brought to life through the amazing work of our directors and actors. This show is a culmination of a collaborative effort to move past traumas we endured and turn them into artistic expressions that shines light on our fierce resilience, question the complexities of our relationships, and celebrate the sexiness of being QUEER as FUCK.
Through the amazing support of Bindlestiff Studio & SF’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development “Gather” Resident Arts program we are thrilled to announce our year long commitment to develop programming that will produce more opportunities for folks to come together and share our stories for our June 2024 show. If you’re interested in learning more about upcoming Queer writing and acting workshops please follow us on social media. (Facebook, Instagram)
Thank you again for supporting Queer as Fuck. We hope you enjoy the show!
