The Love Edition Writing Workshop

The Love Edition Writing Workshop, facilitated by Christina Ying, will prepare students for the 6th iteration of Bindlestiff Studio’s signature show, The Love Edition, and its submission process. Through weekly assignments, in-class writing exercises, group workshop, and development of a sustained 10-12 page script, students will examine scene structure, action, character development, and dialogue focused on the theme of love. With an in-depth analysis of produced stage works, students will come out of the course with a more polished script built on the process of risk-taking and exploration of one's voice and vision.

THE LOVE EDITION

The Love Edition (TLE) is Bindlestiff’s most celebrated original short play series about Love, Heartache, and the Weirdness in between. TLE was founded by co-producers Chuck Lacson and Raf Lim in 2006. Mounted as a variety show mixing comedy and drama through the lens of experimental media, TLE captures the complex narratives and experiences about love and relationships.

TLE 2019 will run from February 14-March 2, 2019.
